Morning Meditation
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 9:00-9:45am Eastern

Morning Meditation meetings are open to anyone who’d like to explore a rich set of guided practices in a supportive community. We’ll finish practice by 9:30 then continue with discussion until 9:45 for those who wish to stick around. There’s no fee for these meetings, so feel free to just show up! Visit my donate page for details on how to support this work. And please read all about our Fall Appeal!

Once a month, we’ll have a Morning Meditation Coffee Social before class—a time just to be together and to chat informally in the usual class Zoom room. The next Coffee Social will be on Wednesday, November 13, 8:15-9:00am Eastern.

The Zoom meeting link will be the same each day.
For audio only, call in to Zoom by phone: 646-931-3860. The Meeting ID is 845 4842 5113 and the passcode is 8888347381. I’ll have Instagram Live going at the same time (@suchness_online) as another option for most classes.

“Chris’s gentle and generous spirit has manifested a community where all are welcome and where I’ve found gratitude, peace, equanimity, and a group of friendly faces amidst the trials and tribulations of life during the pandemic. When Zoom fatigue swept the nation, Morning Meditation became the one Zoom meeting I couldn’t do without.”
- Jeff, New York

Mindfulness of Thoughts and Feelings

Check out the replay of this 30-minute class (recorded live on the Unified Mindfulness Facebook page) exploring mindfulness of thoughts and feelings. Many people mistakenly think that meditation is about ignoring or silencing your thoughts. But we can be mindful of (focused on, clear about, and open to) literally any experience. This practice of bringing mindfulness to our “inner experience”—a technique Shinzen Young calls Focus In—can be a game changer to help untangle the activity of the mind and emotions.

Meditation at Work
Bring vitality and happiness to your workplace with a meditation class series. Research has consistently demonstrated that meditation reduces anxiety while improving focus, performance, creativity, emotional regulation, and even immune response.

I’ve taught meditation at Morgan-Stanley, SeatGeek, Macy's, lululemon, WeWork, Michael Kors, Conde Nast, Sony, Giphy, Crystal & Co., The Flatiron School, Viacom, Nasdaq, LiquidNet, Cowen Group, New York Writers Coalition, Big Human, Intradeco Apparel, Inditex, Lloyd Group, Ampush, as well as numerous law firms, startups, and community organizations. Here’s what a few of them are saying:

"NY Writers Coalition hired Chris to lead a mindfulness workshop at a retreat for our creative writing workshop leaders. Chris is a dynamic leader and his workshop was one of the best activities we've ever had. Chris managed to engage those who have been practicing mindfulness for years and others who had never experienced it. The workshop brought us all closer together and we all left with easy-to-implement tools to help us through the stress of daily life. We couldn't recommend him more highly."
- Aaron Zimmerman, Founder and Executive Director, NY Writers Coalition

"We LOVED it! Chris was a great presenter and we really enjoyed his energy and facilitation. . . . Looking forward to referring the class to the team in the future."
- Tina Perez, Director of Operations, Charter School Business Management

"The workshop was profound - what an amazing introduction to incorporating mindfulness into daily life! Looking forward to working with Chris again soon."
- Kelly Ahearn, Odyssey House
